2022 SANTOS
TOUR DOWN UNDER

The Santos Tour Down Under is the first UCI Pro Tour race held each season, it’s a fabulous festival of all things cycling held in Adelaide, South Australia for a week of warm summers days in January each year.

We ride the small roads as only the locals can, in Australia’s little Europe “The Adelaide Hills”. Supported Daily Ride options vary from 45km – 120km (Optional extra km’s are available each day)

Ride through, visit and sample the famous vineyards of the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills, renowned as Australia’s best and most loved wine regions. You’ll sample Australia’s iconic beach culture as we traverse the beautiful white sand and cool blue waters of Adelaide’s stunning coastline.

You’ll be there to see all the Santos Tour Down Under race stages, including relaxing apres ride – sipping Champagne at our VIP European style picnic at the decisive King of the Mountain final stage.

See you in Adelaide soon.

ABOUT OUR SANTOS TOUR DOWN UNDER TOURS

We offer our Santos Tour Down Under guests a large range of options to suit their individual travel likes and needs. All our fantastic Santos Tour Down Under Tours share time on and off the bike together, including Apres ride Aperitifs.

We have two great hotel options to suit your style and budget, a 4-star and 5-star hotel option. Our 5-star hotel option stays at the “Official Tour Down Under Host Hotel” – the Adelaide Hilton hotel, it includes daily breakfast and the hotel has a swimming pool to cool your tired legs at days end.

At the 5-star Adelaide Hilton, you’ll stay in esteemed company, as the Official Host Hotel, it’s the same hotel as the pro riders, officials, media and cycling legends stay at for the duration of the Santos Tour Down Under.

Both our Santos Tour Down Under hotels are selected as they are premium cycling-friendly accommodation. Each room is spacious to cater for you, your bike and biking kit. We’re centrally located to everything for the Santos Tour Down Under. Daily cycling kit, bike wash and tune-up are included in your tour – daily massage is available upon request.

Each spacious room at our 4 star team hotel includes Kitchen and Laundry, we’re located in the centre of the vibrant South End restaurant – residential precinct where you can mingle with locals, sample fine South Australian: wines, beers, ciders, refreshing cool drinks and gourmet food.

On the bike, we’ll show you the best small roads in Adelaide – en route each day we intercept the race to cheer on the pro peloton. Ride as much or a little as you like – our support vehicles will be there every step of the way. We’ll take in the best scenic roads, viewpoints, pause for the finest coffee, and refreshment stops.

We’ll indulge off the bike at Adelaide’s foodie hotspots, restaurant, bars and cafe’s, personally tested by us. You’ll be close to the City of Adelaide Tour Village and we’ll get you up close to the stars of the show, the Pro riders.

As an official travel provider again for 2022, we’ll be the first to know all the event details. Stay tuned for more details or contact us.

Places are limited so we can focus on quality experiences, we sell out early each year for our VIP Final Day – King Of The Mountain Tour and our Multi-Day Tours.

We encouraged you to make an Advance Booking to secure your place. A $395 payment secures your place on our VIP – KOM Final Day Tour & a $750 advance booking guarantees your spot on our Multi-Day Tours at the 2022 Santos Tour Down Under in Adelaide, South Australia.

Our range of Santos Tour Down Under tours are perfect for cyclists, cycling fans, non-cyclist and non-cycling partners, or people who’d like to do a bit of riding and race watching.

We have a passionate – dedicated non-cycling guide and vehicle, so that you are not just following behind a bunch of bike riders, you’ll have your own itinerary, meet up with partners and bike riders at strategic points each day.

The cyclists in our groups can be of all experience and fitness levels and range from introductory to elite level. There’s always plenty of people of your level – our helpful, friendly and passionate “super domestique” guides-staff ride as fast or slow – as long or little as you need each day.

You are in safe hands, we are a very experienced Tour Down Under travel team. Ride International Tours owners Pat and Grace Fitzpatrick are with you for the duration of the Santos Tour Down Under.
