Florence, Italy will host the start of the 2024 To

Florence, Italy will host the start of the 2024 Tour de France on June 29th, with the race concluding in Nice on July 21st.

Defending champion Jonas Vingegaard of Jumbo-Visma will face stiff competition from Tadej Pogačar, former teammate Primož Roglič, and Belgian sensation Remco Evenepoel. It'll be the first time the awesome foursome face off against each other at one grand tour.

In a historic first, the race will begin in Italy and finish outside of Paris due to the Olympics taking over the French capital.

We're excited and looking forward to the race, it's set to be an unforgettable edition.

This past weekend we visited one of the oldest of the five cycling monuments [races] in northern Italy, the Giro di Lombardia [Tour of Lombardy].
.
Officially known as “Il Lombardia”, yet nicknamed the race of the falling leaves as it is a European Autumn cycling classic. The first edition was raced in 1905 and is considered the most prestigious one-day classic race for the climbers. . We experienced the beautiful race start in Lake Como, and saw Tadej Pogačar cross the line in Bergamo to win for a record three times in a row.  . Sunday morning we lined up for the Gran fondo Il Lombardia, here we experienced the same roads for ourselves as the professionals race on - with the addition of the “Wall of Surmano” and the race's most famous climb to the chapel of Madonna del Ghisallo, a chapel dedicated to cycling.

Overall we rate the GF as a 10 out of 10 and one of the best Gran Fondo’s we’ve ever done, the atmosphere, comradery, feedstations, level of professionalism and “Pasta Party” after the event was fantastic.

We can’t wait to be back in 2024 already, and you’re invited to join us. We stay at the same team hotel as a top professional team, experience a VIP IL Lombardia race, and ride the same roads as the professionals in Gran Fondo IL Lombardia. Who’s in?
