ULTIMATE GIRO D’ITALIA

Experience the final 10 days of the 2027 Giro d’Italia, embrace the passion and beauty of Italy, and its great race.

About The Race:

The 110th edition of the Giro d’Italia is a three-week Grand Tour cycling stage race. The official dates for the May 2027 event will be announced in the fourth quarter of each year, generally in October 2026 for the May 2027 event.

Our indicative dates for the 2027 Giro d’Italia race are the 8th May – 30th May. The Grande Partenza [Depart] has been rumoured to start in Australia, with 3 stages in various states / regions before transferring to Italy. We’ll confirm all the details once an official announcement is made, yet we do appreciate the large logistics involved and hefty timezone change make this Grand Depart rumour unlikely.

The official Grand Depart location will be announced shortly, with the final stage location also open to change for each edition of the race, previous editions have recently been in the nations capital Rome.

We regularly update everyone who has placed an Advanced Booking with us, with all of the details for the program and itinerary as information comes in from the race organisation.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Italy, and showing you the best of Italy and the 2027 Giro d’Italia.

You’ll have your fill of riding, plus we’ll see different aspects of the Giro d’Italia race stages, including stage starts, midpoints, feed stations, hilltops, stage finishes, mixed with a cultural and culinary Italian experience.

There’s something beautiful about riding a bike in Italy, it’s a country practically born and raised on two wheels, the terrain is almost purpose-built for cyclists who love panoramic climbs, sweeping views, lakeside roads, it’s any wonder Italy is regarded as cycling’s birthplace.

Each of our Grand Tour Itinerary’s provides a unique experience as the race route changes dramatically each year. At our 2027 Giro d’Italia tour you can count on riding many of the legendary Italian rides and routes including:

The Stelvio Pass, where you can opt for a double ascent of the Stelvio and climb both sides if your legs are feeling good,  we also ride the beautiful Mortirollo climb while we are in the area.

From our Lake Como base, we’ll ride to the stunning lakeside village of Bellagio, the Colle del Madonna Ghisallo with its beautiful chapel of the patron saint of cycling, the nearby Wall of Surmano and soak up the surrounds of Lake Como.

Our Giro d’Italia tour is led by our experienced team who’ve been hosting tours to Italy for many years, some have raced in the Giro d’Italia and other Grand Tours, we know how to get the best out of your riding, Giro d’Italia race experience, all in a safe, supported – team like environment.

May is a beautiful time to visit and ride in Italy, we’ll provide a fantastic Italian emersion experience, show you the best smaller roads, charming villages, stay in chic Italian hotels, eat wonderful regional Italian produce and sample the best of the Italian dolce Vita “Sweet Life”.

We look forward to showing you around our favourite places on and off the bike, intersecting the Giro d’Italia race stages and watching the final stage of the race. We’re sure you’ll love Italy and the Giro d’Italia as much as we do.

Your Ultimate 10 Day Giro d’Italia Tour Start Location: Milan region, northern Italy

The Milan region is a great start location for our Ultimate Giro d’Italia 10 Day Tour start. Milan and Milan Malpensa is conveniently located and well connected in Italy by train and to Milan – Malpensa International airport.

We always recommend arriving to our tour start – team hotel, or the country in which your tour starts at least the day prior to your tour start. In our years of experience, we have observed that guests who arrive early or on Day 0 are better able to respond to potential travel disruptions like flight delays, missed connections and lost luggage. In general, they are better rested, less stressed, less likely to get sick while on tour, much happier and ready for their adventure than those who arrive fatigued on Day 1.

Your Tour Start Location: Milan Region Italy.

Below we outline a few suggestions on how to arrive to Italy and options to arrive to the Milan region, these are by no means the only options available, we list a few, yet as always options will be varied based on the country where you are departing from, your preferred airline/ carrier etc.

Option 1: Fly to Milan Malpensa International Airport. Then onto our Team Hotel.

Option 2: Train to Milan, Italy. Then onto our Team Hotel

How to get to our hotel:

Our hotel in the Milan area is conveniently located and well connected by train to Milan Malpensa (approx 20min) and then a short walk to our hotel.

Local Train station:

Arrive at our local Train Station, it’s a short 5 min walk on the flat, or Taxi ride if you have large luggage, to our team hotel.

Airport: Then Train

From Milan Malpensa International airport, our suggestion is to take a train from the Malpensa airport arrivals area, below ground train station to our team hotel in the Milan area, – direction Milan Central. It’s a short 20min train journey to our hotel or a/30min Taxi ride.

NB: There’s no official program today Day 0 Pre tour, it’s arrival day, your Ride International tour staff will arrive at various points throughout the day. We’ll all be connected via a WhatsApp chat group, we create the group chat prior to your tour start so that we can all communicate.

Late in the day once your staff are all at our team hotel, we can assist with bike assembly and or introducing you to your hire bike.
