The 2026 La Vuelta a Espana Grand Depart will commence with two stages in Monaco. Stage one will be held entirely in Monaco, likely short time trial stage, stage two will depart from Monaco.

Tour Highlights:

For us Monaco is in our backyard, we’re based a few hours away in Tuscany, Italy and Spain is like our second home, we were based in the Catalan region in northern Spain for a number of years, we’ve spent over 12 years hosting cycling tours to the La Vuelta A Espana, and to all of Spain’s beautiful regions. We love everything about Spain, its passionate cycling culture, and its proud food, wine and beverage production. We’re sure you’ll love the low-stress nature of the Vuelta and Spain as much as we do.

EXPERIENCE:

The opening stages of the 2026 La Vuelta Grand Depart in Monaco and surrounding Italian and French Riviera – plus all of the excitement of the Final stages of the 2026 Vuelta A Espana to Madrid.

STAY: 

Personally selected chic 4*, cycling-friendly hotels on the French / Italian border region – and Spain’s Asturias, Galicia, Basque Country, La Rioja, Castilla Y Leon, and Madrid regions.

Ride:

Minimum of 3 Daily, Supported Ride Options: Short, Medium, Long or approx 40km-120km /250m-1500m avg climbing. Additionally, optional – extra km’s are available each day should you like to ride more in your day, ask us how.

Non-Cyclist:

We highly encourage non-cyclists to join on all our tours, we are the industry leaders in ensuring non-cyclists, cycling fans, or cyclists taking a day off the bike – experience as much of the La Vuelta race and or experience Spain’s many wonderful locations as does the cycling group.

Hire Bikes and E-Bikes: 

Fancy hiring one of our superb modern road bikes, or a E-Road bike so you can ride comfortably each day? We have a fleet of new Road and E-road bikes. Or, you may like to ride a little some days and join in the non-cycling program on other days.

About Our Tour: 

We’ll pick up the La Vuelta A Espana Grand Depart in Monaco and at various key points for the final stages of the race. We’ll take in many classic Vuelta rides and locations in the beautiful northern coastal areas, iconic mountains and wine regions, plus on the 10 day tour will experience the iconic Alto Algliru, Porto de Navacerrada plus many more classic Spanish rides to strategic race viewing points.

We’ll have a taste of what it’s like to be a pro rider, often in our day’s we’ll ride sections of the Vuelta A Espana racecourse ahead of the race. Plus, we’ll be there to ride the final stage in Madrid the morning prior to seeing the final race stage in Spain’s Capital city.

Our tour will conclude after a farewell breakfast, on the Monday morning after the Vuelta A Espana finishes, we include a complimentary airport, or train station transfer on this final day

Welcome to the 2026 Vuelta. Below is a “sample la Vuelta a Espana” itinerary.

At this early stage, we know the first 2 stages of the 2026 Vuelta a Espana will be held in and around Monaco. The exact details of our itinerary will be confirmed once the balance of the race route has been officially announced by the race organisers. Contact us for the most up to date itinerary, program. *Please Note the itinerary below is only a “sample itinerary” to give you an indication of the look and feel for our La Vuelta tours on and off the bike.

As alway,s we recommend arriving at our Team Hotel a day or two prior to your tour start, it’ll reduce travel stress and you’ll adjust to the local time zone far better. If you are already in Spain you can navigate to our Team Hotel or alternatively we can collect you on Day 1 of the tour:

Once we have all convened at our Tour start hotel we will set up and fit our bikes, readying them for the rigours of the Vuelta a Espana.

We start our tour with the now traditional welcome ride, an easy’ish 45km with sufficient bumps to get the heart pumping and set the theme for the days to come.

Tonight’s welcome 3 course dinner, is a time to celebrate in style with a classic welcome meal and drinks at our superb 4 star Hotel. It’s a great chance to catch up with new friends and old and talk about our sojourn into La Vuelta.

Our Ride: Welcome Ride 45km / 650m climbing

We’ll show you one of our favourite local Training Loop. This afternoon we head straight out of the door from our Team Hotel along some small lesser know, yet lovely and quiet roads of the region.

Today’s ride is a nice way to make sure your bike and body are all working well for the following days ahead.


Non-cycling options:

Explore our beautiful village, there’s plenty to see and explore, take some time to settle in or relax in the spacious grounds of our historic hotel. If you fancy being active, we have plenty of great walks and hikes we can suggest.

Alternatively, ask us for some options based on your personal interests, we have some great recommendations.


Vuelta Race: Huesca – Sabiñánigo 185.8km

We’ll catch the last hour of the race live on TV as the Vuelta heads north toward us.


Après Ride: 3 Course Welcome Dinner and Drinks.

Tonight we gather in the superb restaurant at our hotel for our welcome dinner and drinks. Our hotel and restaurant showcases a bygone era of opulent travel, the elegant restaurant is complete with wood floors, chandeliers, great local food, wine and service with an abundance of character

You’ll spend the famous race days of the Tour of Flanders and Paris Roubaix on a VIP experience with Phil Anderson as we follow the races in our vehicles. Champagne – gourmet picnic lunch’s included enroute during both classics.

Phil was based in Belgium for much of his early pro cycling career, he was passionate about doing well in these early season Spring Classics races, including winning the Amstel Gold Race, 2nd at the Tour of Flanders and many podium places in the one-day monument races.

Our experience allows us to see the races at multiple viewing points en route, including being at the finish of the Paris – Roubaix in the velodrome.

Director of Ride International Tours – With a keen passion for improving riders fitness and technique in Road biking, MTB, Gravel and Cx riding. Originally Pat hails from Adelaide, South Australia, but resides half the year in Brunswick, Melbourne Australia – The balance of the year is spent in Europe hosting tours, while in Europe he's based out of lovely small medieval Spanish village, Solsona near the Pyrenees mountains.

When not on tour, Dadding is the priority - doing the bins, clothes washing, dishes and cleaning up after our very energetic young twin daughters.

Advance Bookings:

We open up our Advance Reservations for trips early so you can book and plan well ahead. We guarantee your position by booking prior. If you’d like to organise and book your trip further out than the dates/years we have listed on our website, please contact us via email, phone, & or video call and we’ll arrange everything so you can place an advanced booking.

An advance booking, accompanied by a fully refundable $750 AUD (Australian Dollar) ensures priority booking status when the trip details are announced. Note, an advance booking is not considered final until payment is received.

Once specific trip itinerary details are finalized, we’ll contact everyone on the advance reservation list via email, we’ll include the itinerary and offer a priority booking position before opening up bookings to the wider community.

If a trip fills – as it often does in the advance bookings, we create a waiting list and then offer reservations on a first-come, first-serve basis (based on the date the advance reservation was made) once our advanced booking guest have finalised.

To cancel an advance reservation a cancellation request must be submitted in writing/ via email within 10 days of the trip details being published. The (AUD) $750 advance reservation payment will be immediately refunded for any cancellation received within this 10-day period.

Travel Insurance:

As a Ride International Tour participant, it is compulsory to have your own travel insurance. We recommend activating your travel insurance as soon as you’ve placed your booking deposit to ensure you are covered from the outset. Please ensure that your policy includes coverage for:

  • Cancellation charges
  • Medical expenses in the event of an accident or illness.
  • Baggage
  • Cycling activities and associated risks
  • Cycling equipment

We encourage each participant on our tours to contact your travel agent, and or travel insurance provider directly. Your travel insurance experts are best equipped to provide clarification, recommendations for best providers and or further information on the cover that suits your specific needs.

Final Payments:

Please Note: Our Tour de France Tours, and various other tours operate in the “Peak European Travel Season” each year. Our Tour de France tours take place in the regions, towns and city’s in the vicinity of the Tour de France, hence it’s considered “Ultra Peak Season” by our suppliers.

Our suppliers engage their special conditions during “Ultra Peak Travel Season”, including non-refundable payments for bookings to secure the needs to operate our Tour de France tours.

Our Tour de France tours require payment conditions which include a 50% tour progress payment once we supply our tour “Itinerary in Brief”. We forward your first progress payment invoice/s via email, these tour progress payments made to Ride International to secure your position/s on the tour are non-refundable by our suppliers.

Travel Insurance is compulsory for guests on all our tours, should you need to cancel your tour once your tour progress payment/s have been made, contact us via email to notify us of your intention to cancel. We can provide you with written confirmation that your tour position/s have been cancelled, this confirmation of cancellation can then be forwarded by guests onto your travel insurance provider for their consideration.

The balance of your tour payment/s is due no later than 150 days prior to your tour departure date, we will forward via email your final payment invoice. You can choose to make full payment earlier if you prefer to finalise your trip payment early, contact us and we will arrange for an invoice to be sent.

What if I have to transfer, change or cancel my trip:
We understand you may not be able to go on your tour, you have the option to cancel, change or transfer due to personal or medical reasons if you’ve paid a tour advance booking deposit, and or it’s within 10 days of receiving your tour “Itinerary in Brief. Post the 10 day period after you have received your “Itinerary in Brief”, tour payments, progress payments are considered final, non-refundable. If you have a question give us a call or email.

Due to the high demand, limited hotel availability and the advance payments expected by our hotels, various suppliers, and restaurants we use, the following cancellation conditions apply to all of our trips.

AFTER BOOKING, IF YOU CANCEL:

Prior to 150 days before to departure 50% cancellation fee of the tour price
149 – 61 days prior to departure 75% cancellation fee of the tour price
60 days and less prior to departure 100% cancellation fee of the trip price
