Ride – Cycling Highlights
- Ride iconic South Australian routes including Norton Summit, Corkscrew Road, Mount Lofty, and Willunga Hill.
- Ride alongside or ahead of the TDU race routes for both Women’s and Men’s stages.
- Daily supported, guided ride options range from 25km to 140km, with climbing between 150m and 1800m.
- Multiple, Guided route choices daily to suit different fitness levels, with loop and point-to-point options.
- Included coastal loops, Barossa Valley rides, and scenic rides and climbs through the Adelaide Hills.
- Live race viewing integrated into rides, including mid-race cheering sections and final stage circuits.

Tour Down Under Race Highlights

Men will climb Willunga Hill three times on the queen stage. - Final Stage Circuit in Stirling
Closing stage for men is an 8 lap, 21km undulating circuit around Stirling. - Tougher, More Challenging Routes: Overall Longer stages, more climbing, more technical terrain. Designed to make the general classification competition intense.
How to prepare for a Tour Training tips On and off the Bike
- A TDU Tour is like a marathon, not a sprint — increase your aerobic activity regularly before the tour.
- Ride, run, and walk outdoors as much as possible; use indoor trainers only when necessary.
- Focus on hills and climbs rather than just distance, practice improving your bike control and descending regularly, always at safe speeds.
- Talk with a fitness or Cycling Coach They can assist with a fitness and skills improvement program.
- Embrace the local landscapes, cuisine, wine and cool drinks.
- Eat and drink healthily balanced nutrition, reduce snacking is key for peak health and performance.
